Description:

The Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (IKR) in Marktoberdorf is a technology transfer centre to achieve and bring results from applied research to industry. It is part of the high-tech agenda and digitisation strategy of the Free State of Bavaria.
Together with a start-up from the agricultural sector, you will apply results from basic research. With your contribution, you support the transformation to sustainable, organic farming by helping to enable easy, fully automated weed control instead of pesticide use. The concrete contribution of your work is the development and testing of an integrated navigation and control algorithm for autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for use in grassland.

PhD position in Energy Harvesting for Internet of Underwater Things

Description:

The UWIN-LABUST Research Group will be part of the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (LABUST; https://labust.fer.hr/) at UNIZG-FER. The UWIN-LABUST Research Group will be led by the ERA Chair, Prof. Roee Diamant, Head of the Underwater Acoustic & Navigation Laboratory (ANL) at the University of Haifa that is a partner in the UWIN-LABUST project.

Researcher contract - Universitat de Lleida- (Spain)

Description:

To develop a low-cost photonic sensor monitoring system for fruit plantations and to conduct field trials with the system to carry out tasks related to the research project P22038 – "LOW-COST MONITORING SYSTEMS IN FRUIT PLANTATIONS FOR PRECISION AGRICULTURE BASED ON PHOTONIC SENSORS (Ref. TED2021-131871B-I00).

The contract is for a duration of 15 months, from April 17th, 2023 to July 16th, 2024, and the tasks to be developed include sensor integration, development of equipment control software, and development of algorithms for generating and registering 3D point clouds, among others.

Summer Internship at UdG - Underwater Vision and Robotics Lab- (Spain)

Description:

Their work is framed in two projects.

The first is the Spanish OptiHROV project where the students have been working on the development of an underwater docking station for the Girona 1000 AUV and a system for AUV detection and optical modem alignment using Deep Learning. 

The other students have been working in the context of the European ATLANTIS EU project in developing a SLAM-based navigation system and a planning system using ROS-plan.
