“I’m excited to share that I had the incredible opportunity to attend the ETH Robotics Summer School 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland!

The summer school offered a unique blend of lectures, tutorials, and hands-on work with the SuperMegaBot, a semi-autonomous rough-terrain Unmanned Ground Vehicle. We delved into various topics, including State Estimation, SLAM, Exploration & Path Planning, Trajectory Optimization (Model Predictive Control), Artifact Detection (YOLOv5), and LiDAR-based 3D Object Localization.

One major highlight for me was collaborating with an amazing team, Team TechTitans – Junghwan Ro, Jiali Sun, Hardik Shah, Elisa Ferrara, and Kevin Qu. Together, we tackled the search and rescue challenge, involving autonomous exploration, localization, mapping, and artifact detection, in an outdoor rough-terrain environment.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, especially Maria Trodella and Dr. Cesar Cadena, for their dedication and support. Also, a big shoutout to ETH Zürich, ETH RobotX, and all the participants for making this experience truly unforgettable.”
