On September 27th, the University of Zagreb (UNIZG) hosted a Welcome Day for international students, including those enrolled in the Intelligent Field Robotic Systems (IFRoS) Erasmus Mundus Master’s program. The event was an opportunity for the students to meet the dean and vice-dean, who provided a warm welcome and shared important logistical information, such as how to set up university accounts for web and email access. With this introduction, our IFRoS students have now settled into the third week of classes in Zagreb.
During this third semester, students at UNIZG focus on a range of advanced topics, particularly related to robotics and aerial vehicles. Their coursework includes subjects such as Deep Learning, Aerial Robotics, Multi-Robot Systems, Human-Robot Interaction, Ethics and New Technologies, and Robot Sensing, Perception, and Actuation. These areas are vital to developing expertise in intelligent field robotics, preparing students for the complex challenges they will face in the industry.
By the end of this semester, students will be ready to begin their master’s thesis projects. Armed with the knowledge and practical skills gained during their time in Zagreb, they will be well-equipped to pursue innovative research and contribute to the field of robotics.
We look forward to seeing their progress and the exciting work they will produce as they move forward in their academic careers.
