IFROS Master Welcomes Third Cohort with Exciting Induction Week

Greetings from the IFROS Master team! We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our third cohort of students, IFROS3, and share the highlights of our recent Induction Week, which took place on September 20th and 21st.

As the new academic year begins, we are delighted to welcome our talented students to the IFROS family. This year’s Induction Week was an opportunity to provide our incoming students with a warm and informative welcome to their exciting journey ahead.

Day 1: A Grand Welcome

On the first day of the Induction Week, our students were greeted by Dra. María Àngels Pèlach Serra, the Director of the Polytechnic School, and Dr. Robert Martí, the Rector’s Delegate for International Masters of Universitat de Girona. They offered a warm welcome and provided valuable insights into what it means to be part of the University of Girona (UdG) and the significance of joining one of the esteemed Erasmus Mundus master’s programs.

Following this, our academic coordinators, Dr. Narcís Palomeras and Dr. Nuno Ricardo Estrela Gracias, shared essential academic information about the IFROS Master. They provided insights into the exciting journey that awaits our students, involving two years of shared experiences across three Partner universities. To complete the day, coordinators from the partner universities, the University of Zagreb and Eötvös Loránd University, shared the important information for the 3rd semester and extended their warm greetings to our new cohort.

Day 2: Exploring Services and Insights

The second day was dedicated to introducing our students to the various services available at UdG, as well as providing valuable tips for their academic journey. Students had the privilege of hearing firsthand experiences from three members of our inaugural IFROS cohort. They shared their personal journeys in the captivating world of the IFROS Master and offered valuable advice and encouragement to newcomers. Thank you Jesús Aleman Gallegos, Vsevolod Hulchuk and Alaaeddine El Masri El Chaarani for such interesting and appreciated speeches.

After this insightful session, students embarked on a guided tour of the university facilities, including visits to key locations such as the library, photocopying services, and the sustainability area. Additionally, they explored the robotics labs and classrooms, gaining a firsthand look at the resources available to support their studies.

We would like to extend our warmest wishes to our new students as they embark on this exciting adventure. We are thrilled to have you here and hope you enjoy your time in the IFROS Master program and the vibrant city of Girona. Welcome to IFROS3!
